Still stuck on your 3×10 routine from 1987? Time to evolve.
You’re here because something inside of you wants more. More strength. More discipline. More results.
So let’s cut the fluff.
Progression doesn’t mean signing up for a fad workout or switching from dumbbells to renegade rows because some influencer told you to. It means doing more than you did last week, and doing it with purpose.
I get it—some days you don’t feel like running. Me too. I dread it because I remember the old me—the 6:32 mile me. Now, at 245lbs, running hurts. But I do it anyway. Not because I expect to hit my college time, but because I know I’ll be better for it.
Lifting isn’t complicated—just show up.
You want to get stronger? Train smart and train often.
I’ve spent decades doing every program you can imagine—chains, bands, tempo sets, board presses, the works. The one thing they all have in common? Consistency. If you’re skipping the gym more than showing up, it doesn’t matter what program you’re on.
Want faster results? Try supersets instead of basic sets. Cut your 45-minute workout to 25 minutes, free up time for cardio or stretching, and push your heart rate. That’s how you evolve. That’s how you win.
Your diet is only as strong as your honesty.
You say you’re eating clean, but you’re still sneaking in cheat meals? Be real. I’ve done it—pizza, protein bars, half a bag of seasoned pretzels at a buddy’s house. It happens. But don’t lie to yourself.
Are you tracking what you’re actually eating? Are your macros even close to your goals? Or are you just winging it and hoping for the best?
Aim for 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% fat. I push to 55% protein to give myself some wiggle room. That steak dinner? Yeah, I had it. But I adjusted. I kept my sugar low. I owned it.
Your body adapts. So should your plan.
Progress isn’t about shocking your muscles with something random every day. That’s not progression—that’s distraction.
Progression is:
- Reducing rest time
- Increasing reps
- Controlling tempo
- Showing up no matter how you feel
Want to win? Do it better than you did yesterday. Week 1, I hit 3×40 bench with 135lbs. Week 2, I pushed 60. That’s progression.
Not perfect. Not polished. Just better.
No shortcuts. No BS. Just results.
This is a mindset. It’s about doing the work behind the scenes—when no one’s watching. Like those WWE legends I saw backstage: Cena, Batista, Triple H. You think they became icons by slacking off?
Get in the gym. Stick to the plan. Stop justifying weak choices. When it gets hard, that’s where you grow.
Because the clock’s ticking. And you’re either getting better, or staying the same.
Your move.
